Hey guys, it's Nick and Adam from F150LEDs.com and today we're in a '98 to '03 Ford F-150. And we're going to be showing you how to install some LEDs here in your vanity mirror lights, not only are they going to look a lot better, but they're going to allow you to actually see what you're looking at in the mirror. So it's a great little upgrade. It's simple to do. And we're going to show you how it's done right now.
All right guys. So we already have our MKII vanity lights installed on the truck currently, but we want to demonstrate how you would remove this piece and take out your stock bulb and then place our F-150 LED's bulb back into its place. So first thing what we're needed to do is grab a small flathead screwdriver or some kind of pry tool to get this plastic piece off. You're going to slide your pry tool right under this tab at the bottom of your plastic piece and apply some pressure and that'll pop this right out of place. So once we've done that, that gives us access to this bulb. We can take some slight pressure from behind and our bulb will remove that easily. So now we're going to take our MKII vanity light and just go ahead and install it back into place. There are two metal clamps at the top and the bottom that you just want to slide this bulb right back into place.
Go ahead and push it in. Our bulb lights up. We're going to take our plastic piece, line up your two tabs on the back with your tabs at the top and bottom of this housing. Apply some firm pressure and it'll pop right back into place. And that's all there is to installing our MKII vanity lights for our 98 to '03's.
So these things are definitely an upgrade in brightness and they look much better. Thank you Adam, for showing us how to get them installed.
