Hey guys, it's Nick from F150LEDs.com. Today we're here with our 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor, and we're going to be showing you how to swap these yellow dim vanity lights with the F150LEDS.com MKII Series LEDs. These are extremely bright. We build all of our bulbs to the highest specs using the highest grade elements. They feature a 16 LED pack on the top. The backside is reserved for our built-in resistor system. We even went into detail on the end caps, including laser engrave logos, so that you know that you're getting a quality genuine product and the best available for your F-150 Raptor. These are extremely easy to install, and we're going to show you how it's done right now.
Okay, the first thing that we're going to need to do to get access to these bulbs here is just remove this white plastic lens. We're going to use a small little flathead screwdriver. We're going to apply pressure here in the center, inside closest to the mirror, and we're just going to kind of pry this cap off. There's two tabs here and two tabs here. It's going to take a little bit of firm pressure, but of course, be gentle. You don't want to go too powerful on it and break the lens cover. So just kind of pry like so and it'll pop out for you. One thing to notice here on these tabs you've got two on each side, and on one of the sides, they're closer to the top and bottom. You'll have to take notice of that when you reinstall this cover.
This exposes our yellow dim halogen light here, and using your screwdriver you can just gently pry it away from the metal prongs. If you want to use a set of pliers, that works great as well. Just gently pull that out. And be careful. Depending on how long this light has been on, it can be warm, so we suggest using some gloves to protect yourselves that way. We will get our MKII Series LED vanity mirror lights, and we'll just pop those back onto these tabs. It should light up. If it doesn't, flip it 180 degrees.
Whew, that thing is really bright. And that's all there is to it. Now, we'll reinstall our protective lens here with the two tallest tabs here on the outside, and with some pressure, the cap back in. So, that's all there is to installing the MKII Series LED lights. You can see a dramatic difference. The ones on the left look fantastic. They're much brighter versus the OEM halogen bulbs on the right.
As you can tell, we've got our MKII lights installed. They look dramatically better. They're much brighter. The install, it was extremely easy. You can check them out at F150LEDs.com. You can also find all of our great LED lighting for your Ford Raptor. We truly appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you there. Thanks, guys.
